It was nearly 150 years ago that the Episcopal tradition of being a neighbor to those in need sparked the creation of what would become the Home of the Good Shepherd. Today it provides a warm and caring home for its 240 residents.
There are many opportunities to volunteer at the Home of the Good Shepherd. Our residents appreciate help with activities like knitting, plant care, bingo, and word jumbles. There are also opportunities to help plan parties or offer cooking demonstrations.
The Home of the Good Shepherd is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and relies on the support of family and friends to enhance the services provided to its residents. Gifts of cash and appreciated securities are accepted.
